Le 2 février comme chaque année, la fête de la Présentation du Seigneur au temple fut célébrée dans notre Monastère avec solennité. Voici un petit extrait de l’homélie du Père Guézingar le curé de notre paroisse.
« Siméon attendait l’événement que tous attendaient et dont Anne la prophétesse ne cessait de parler, le temps où Dieu viendra consoler et libérer son peuple en lui assurant enfin la paix et la prospérité.
Et nous aujourd’hui, comme Marie et Joseph, comme Anne et Siméon, nous sommes venus nous aussi dans le Temple nouveau, fait de pierres vivantes, et nous nous présentons devant Dieu notre Père, nous lui offrons ce que nous sommes. Nous présentons le pain qui deviendra pains de la vie, et le vin qui deviendra vin du Royaume éternel. Nous rencontrons Jésus-Christ dans la communion à son Corps et à son Sang, et cette communion est aussi communion fraternelle. Maintenant dans sa clarté nous nous frères, nous pouvons devenir à notre tour des lumières les uns pour les autres ».

On 2 February, as every year, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple was celebrated with solemnity in our monastery. Here is a short excerpt from the homily given by Father Guézingar, the parish priest.
"Simeon was waiting for the event that everyone was waiting for and that the prophetess Anna never stopped talking about, the time when God would come to console and liberate his people, finally assuring them peace and prosperity.
Today, like Mary and Joseph, like Anne and Simeon, we too have come to the new Temple, made of living stones, and we present ourselves before God our Father, offering him who we are. We present the bread that will become the bread of life, and the wine that will become the wine of the eternal Kingdom. We encounter Jesus Christ in communion with his Body and Blood, and this communion is also fraternal communion. Now, in his light, we brothers and sisters can in turn become lights for one another ».
